Happy New Year.
2025 is a new year but its also another day in the life you are living.
What is it that you would like to achieve in this short period in your life?
If you live until 80 this is 1/80th (1.25%) of your life.
So it can be used to do nothing different or it can be the beginning of something great.
It can be the beginning of a ten year plan which would be 12.5% of your whole life.
Of course if you look at your adult life it would be 1/6th (16.6%) of your life.
So today begin with a ten year plan.
Yes a ten year plan for your health.
Ten years is significant enough to radically change your health.
And beginning this year you can make the biggest most drastic changes that will have the most life altering habits to bring you through the next ten years and the rest of your life with significant benefits.
But where to start?
Right where you are.
Where is your start line?
Is it in your movement habits or in the food you eat?
Maybe it's a combo.
Maybe it's getting to a doctor, a dentist, or even finding yourself relaxing in a tub to recuperate from the holiday season.
Today is the day to plan big, plan long but start with the micro-steps that occur everyday. Remember a day off the plan does not significantly effect the long range goal.
It only frustrates our steps that we were trying to gain on.
This is not a sprint.
This is a marathon or an ultra.
True change comes from habits that change permanently not short-term changes that get kicked to the curb after a few weeks.
If you want true change set a long range goal...1 year, 5 years, 10 years then let's plan together how to get there.
In college my A & P professor told us to cut 100 calories a week. We would lose 1.5 pounds a year. We were like what? That's not going to do much. But he said it would be a permanent change. A change that can be lived with. I recommend a bit more than that but not a crash diet.

Remember its your start line.
But this isn't a race it's a life, your life, your goals, your achievements!
